About
I am Thomas Hand, a frontend developer and web specialist based in outback Queensland. I design, build, and support websites that are reliable, fast, and easy to manage. My work focuses on practical improvements that make sites perform better over time, without unnecessary rebuilds or complexity.
I founded Optimatic to provide clear, ongoing website support for organisations that need their sites to work properly day to day. That includes improving performance, simplifying content management, fixing technical issues, and making sure websites remain secure and usable as requirements change.
Outside of my professional work, I have a strong interest in political science and economics. I enjoy thinking about how societies organise resources, how institutions function, and how policy decisions shape real world outcomes. These interests sit alongside my technical work rather than inside it, and they help keep me curious, critical, and grounded.
